2005-08-18 [cheesecake]: Wow. An arguement/discussion here. I'm self taught too but I believe an art collage can do wonders for almost anyone as long as you have a good teacher. If anything it modivates you to practice drawing more often. You see I'm rather lazy. This past year is the first time I've actually compleated backgrounds on my fantasy art.

I was doing art long before college... so I was self taught... or mother taught and self taught... but I had two good teachers in highschool... and some excellent teachers in college.. tho Bobby was the shit.. we all believed the only reason she was there is she did 'favours' for the board of directions! ... Id love to go back to school... if I could afford it!

2005-08-18 [cheesecake]: My high school teacher sux! He didn't even want to be a art teacher at first! Grrrr...But I learned from my grandma and she was pretty good even if she wasn't a teacher. I feel the pain of the money problems too. I just found out what my collage tutition is going to cost. Let's just say that I won't be eating very much next year.

2005-08-18 [moira hawthorne]: ahhhhhhhhh well thats a given of college! I ate muffins and peanut butter rice and popcorn... and one meal a week... but the caf ladys had mercy on us art students and feed us rather than throwing it out at 10 pm..
